Yoga is a term used to describe a number of practices, designed to help the individual unite with Brahman (the Universal Self). In other words, yoga provides a framework for Self realization.
However, yoga is not just useful for goals as spectacular as uniting with God ;)
Yoga is helpful in our daily lives to connect with our bodies, to quiet the mind, and to create distance between the chaos of the world and our divine being. Yoga strengthens and purifies the body and mind, allowing unnecessary energies to be released from body and clearing channels to allow life force energy to flow more freely.

Yes! Asana, or the physical practice, is just one part of yoga. Self realization does not mean you need to be able to stand on your head, but rather requires the dedication to continually work to move through the chatter and chaos of the mind, any chance we get.
If physical yoga is not accessible at the moment, mantra, pranayama, yoga nidra, and some gentle movement to massage the joints, may be a good place to start. The beauty of private lessons, is that they are fully tailored to your ability level and your own personal goals, whether that be better emotional regulation, less agitation throughout thee day, better focus, increased energy, a quieter mind, or to merge with the divine!

I first started getting serious about yoga in university, in 2019, where I started work-trading for a local studio in Santa Cruz, CA (USA).
In January of 2025 I quit my job in SF and traveled to India, where I completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Hatha Yoga, at Ayur Yoga Eco Ashram. Here, I received excellent training on both posture and philosophy, and improved my personal practice immensely. I spent an additional month traveling throughout India, experiencing the more cultural and mystical aspects of this amazing place.
Upon returning to San Francisco, I began teaching at a local studio, keeping my classes true to the roots of yoga, as I understood them to be. I taught at the studio for about 9 months, up until moving to Spain.
Since my YTT I have spent hundreds of hours practicing, teaching, and participating in advanced and in-depth trainings and workshops. Additionally, I am committed to learning through study of scripture, spending additional hundreds of hours reading and listening to foundational texts like the Bhagavad-gita, the Upanishads, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika, as well as other literature to deepen my own practice and shape my understanding of what it means to live a spiritual life.

No! While English is my mother tongue, I have some level of proficiency of Spanish, and can offer classes in English, or combined Spanish and English.
As my Spanish progresses, I hope to start offering classes fully in Spanish.

Today we live in a multi-cultural world, where practices and information from different regions of the world are often shared with those not belonging to that cultural group. This practice of cultural sharing, or appreciation, is something that I have benefited from greatly, as my spiritual identity has been largely influenced by philosophies and practices outside of my lineage.
However, yoga, and its practice in the west has been criticized for its divergence from tradition, adapted so much to adhere to the desires of a western audience, resulting in a divergence of modern yoga from its roots. Hence, it is important to me to keep my style of yoga authentic to its origins. Additionally, yoga has been a profit making machine for the west, while India and Indians, some of the earliest stewards of this knowledge, do not see any of that returned to them.
I understand that it is a thin line between appreciation and appropriation, and that is something I am always considering. I feel that as someone practicing and teaching knowledge outside of my culture, it is important to circle that energy of appreciation back to the communities that it comes from. Whether this be through moments of gratitude and loving appreciation, or through financial means, reciprocity, has always been important to me in helping ensure my practices are fair and ethical.
