Yellow Moon is an amalgamation of years of knowledge gained through experience, suffering, study, and practice, transformed into an offering of service.
The bright pigment of the bees and flowers, the warmth of the Sun’s rays, and the ethereal, otherworldly-ness of the Moon.
Yellow Moon bows to the Earth and the stars. Alluding to our dualistic nature as spiritual beings in physical bodies, and gives special emphasis to my greatest teacher - the mind.
Returning home..The goal of Yellow Moon, is to assist in the process of returning to your true nature, which is perfect wholeness. The primary modality we use is yoga, which allows the vessel of the body to be purified, and the karmas of the mind to slowly be burned away.
About Me
Hi, I’m Emily. I’m currently living in Reus in Catalonia, studying a master’s degree in the sciences. The path that has lead me here has been long and full of uncertainty, joy, and suffering. Since December of 2023 I have been on an intense path of reflection and discovery, slowly rewiring my mind through dedication to spiritual practice, study, and presence in order to develop loving compassion for myself, cultivating an inner flame, and allowing this loving compassion to shine from my heart onto the world.
My journey of coming home to myself and to truly, and deeply loving, accepting, and knowing myself has lead me from San Francisco to Sedona, AZ, the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, the Amazon Jungle in Peru, the Ganges in India, and now here in Reus. My path has not been, and is still not, easy, but there is nothing that I would change, and I have gratitude for every single magical, mystical, devastating, joyful, dull, and heartbreaking moment that has allowed me to stand so confidently where I am today.
I have gratitude for it all, and to all the amazing teachers that have helped me get to where I am, whether they be intentional teachers, or not, thank you. Om shanti, shanti, shanti.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice, estimated to date back 5000 years. The etymology of the word yoga is from the Sanskrit root “Yuj” which means “to yoke” “to unite”. So yoga is translated as “union”, union of the self with the Self, the lower self with the higher self, the individual personality with the unchanging, everlasting Self. Therefore, Yoga is a path of Self-Realization.
“Liberation arises in the simplicity of being - a beacon of remembrance for a truth that was never lost, only forgotten.”
